Laavanya Hunt

Originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Laavanya Hunt is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Cinema Arts and Science with a focus in producing. Working on over thirty Columbia productions, Hunt completed her education with high honors, and a stellar body of work.  

  

Since graduating, she moved to Los Angeles and has worked as both a Set Monitor and Testing Administrator on shows like, Snowfall, Mixed-ish, Grown-ish, For All Mankind, Reservation Dogs Project Greenlight & the highly anticipated Barbie movie. She has played a big component in the department through many shows and spreading her knowledge and experience. With an incredible work ethic and and a high level of professionalism.

Hunt has also been involved in producing independent films. She recently co-produced an Arri sponsored short "Steal, Kill & Destroy, directed by Darron Savage. The film is currently in post-production and is set to be released summer of 2023. Her latest project is a short film which is being executive produced by Greg Yaitanes (House of the Dragon) & Michael Goi (American Horror Story). The film is directed by up-and-coming director Morgan Hammen. Production commences May 2023.
